Practice
Rebekah Hendricks, BA Hons
I am a Part 1 Architecture graduate with First Class Honours, following a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at Central Saint Martins, where I specialised in Architecture and graduated with Distinction.
My architectural interests centre on sustainable and Passive House design, with a particular focus on biodiversity-inclusive environments and creating greater social value for the communities they serve. I am also interested in how architecture can respond to its environmental and social context, creating spaces that are both technically considered and meaningful to the people who use them.
Being a part of the local community has shaped my architectural values and strengthened my belief in creating a harmonious relationship between people, place and landscape. This has developed my interest in understanding the character and ecology of a place, and exploring how architecture can contribute positively to both its environment and its community.
Alongside architecture, I maintain a creative practice through drawing, painting and experimentation with a wide range of media. I occasionally exhibit my work through local galleries, allowing me to explore creative ideas and processes beyond the architectural discipline.
