I am a Part 1 Graduate from Sheffield School of Architecture and RIBA Bronze Medal Nominee with a strong interest in ruralism, place-making and design rooted in landscape, materiality and local identity. My final year project explored how Architecture can strengthen connections between communities and their environments through sensitive approaches to vernacular design, natural materials, retrofit and adaptive reuse. My academic research and design projects have focused on the relationship between rural landscapes and future development, including my dissertation which explored ruralism and utopianism as a method of fighting the climate crisis, and my final project which proposed a renewable energy centre as a catalyst for community resilience and regeneration.
I am particularly interested in multidisciplinary approaches to Architecture, where social, environmental and technical considerations come together to create meaningful places. I value the role of drawing and hands-on exploration as tools for understanding and communicating ideas.
Out of office, I spend much of my time exploring natural landscapes, trail running and cycling, which continues to influence my interest in sustainable, context-driven design.
