Woodstock

The project involved the energy transformation of an Edwardian house including high levels of insulation, a new roof structure and an extension designed along passive principles heated by air source. 🌱 The result is an existing building that far surpasses new build energy standards.
A robust craggy exterior formed with ash colored linear bricks is stepped toward the west light with large shaded overhangs and corner pocket doors. The heavy roof with its waffle structure has an exceptionally high energy performance and supports an intensive wildflower roof. A lookout dormer provides panoramic views over the city. To contrast this tough exterior, a palette of colors and timber flows between the internal spaces helping to curate the clients eclectic art collection.
